What is freeze dried coffee?

Our freeze-dried coffee is created through a meticulous process that ensures superior quality. After selecting our raw coffee greens, we roast them in-house and extract espresso from them. This espresso is then frozen at temperatures as low as -31°C. With a vacuum condition in the freeze dryer, the frozen espresso sublimates, turning directly into steam and leaving behind only the concentrated coffee commonly known as instant coffee.

How does it differ from commonly found instant coffee?

Commonly found instant coffee are traditionally spray-dried. They are made by brewing roasted coffee at high temperature and pressure, then spraying the liquid extract into very hot air (180-250 °C). Water evaporates in seconds, forming fine powder. The high heat causes major aroma loss and more bitter flavours. It's cheap and efficient to produce, very convenient, but typically flatter and less complex in taste than freeze-dried coffee.

Our coffee contains no sugar, milk, preservatives, or any artificial flavourings. Just all natural 100% arabica coffee.
